The AKL Container 6545-40 is a high-capacity automation bin engineered for use in automated warehouse systems (AKL / ASRS / shuttle systems), built to the 650 × 450 mm base dimension used in intralogistics. Its external dimensions are 650 × 450 × 400 mm, while internal usable space is 610 × 412 × 362 mm, resulting in a capacity of approximately 61.4 litres with an empty weight of about 3.36 kg.

This container features closed side walls by default, with optional drainage hole variants compliant with fire protection standards. The foundation of its design is a circumferential closed “crown base”: a rigid frame perimeter combined with an internal ribbed structure. This design evenly distributes load stresses and prevents bottom deformation over repeated stacking cycles, while supporting loads up to 50 kg.

The corners are constructed with double-wall reinforcement and beveled transitions to ensure that robotic shuttles, conveyors, and shelving systems can guide the container smoothly without catching or noise. For internal organization, built-in partition slots allow subdivision of the container into halves, quarters, or eighths, enabling flexible storage of mixed components or modules.

This 6545-40 container is well suited for:

  • Automated buffer storage in shuttle systems
  • Conveyor transfer zones and high-density picking
  • Storage of medium-to-large electronic or mechanical modules
  • Kits, assemblies, or parts requiring subdivision and protection

Because it is designed for automated systems, the 6545-40 ensures precision stacking, reduced friction in transport paths, and minimal maintenance. Its flat outer surfaces and accurate geometry help robotic arm alignment and system flow stability.
